Meditation of the Week – August 1

“Amen, amen, I say to you, you are looking for me not because you saw signs, but because you ate the loaves and were filled.” The people, like us, believe in God because of physical evidence in our lives; being full is being happy. Having faith in God is knowing that even when times are trying or difficult that God is not just feeding our bellies, He is feeding our very souls. It’s in our trials that we come to know Jesus; He is the Bread sent down from Heaven. Humbling Himself from Creator, to become the created human, in order to show us how to live for eternal life. If we pray, believe and trust, there is no physical sign needed, we will know He is present without a sign. We will accept everything that comes to us in good times and in bad, knowing that Jesus knows the path to life, and we will follow.
