Meditation of the Week – August 15

“My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord; my spirit rejoices in God my Savior for He has looked with favor on His lowly servant. From this day all generations will call me blessed.” Mary, in her humility and lowliness is always redirecting to God and His goodness. She is a perfect reflection of God’s love; a perfect love that always looks beyond herself to recognize the Creator. With great TRUST she gives glory to God and His plan for all generations. Mary, chosen and without the original stain of sin, brings heaven to us, by participation in the Incarnation of Christ. This act of humility, selfless love and sacrifice, connects us to our redeemer Christ, the God man. Like Jesus, Mary is lifted after death, body and soul into heaven, where she is exalted by the Lord as Queen over all, heaven and earth. Chosen before time, Mary is given as Mother to all nations and people.
