The point Jesus wanted to make with today’s parable is that we should be wise in our use of our worldly goods, because if they are used selfishly, they will fail us. However, if we share our resources with others, true wealth will await us in the Kingdom. The final point of Jesus’ words is that we cannot serve two masters, God and money. Selfish use of our resources moves us away from God and all that He has in store for us. Our purpose is to share what we have been given with others.
